The Story

There was once a young boy who had an imaginary friend. The boy's name is not important right now, but the imaginary friend's name is... and it was Bones. Bones resided in the overflow drain of the boy's bathroom sink. He lived on a diet of water and toothpaste, and occasionally got treats of liquid makeup products which belonged to the boy's mother. Bones had a good life.

The boy grew up and created a blog... this blog. It's filled with his thoughts about life, technology, art and many other things. The boy chose to name his blog after his imaginary friend as a reminder that imagination is always alive, and like Bones, requires feeding.

I'm your host, Lane. I'm a hacker.

I love Ruby, Lisp and JavaScript, but I also work in Java and sometimes C. I love clean, powerful, and simple code.

I love to create... creating something out of nothing, creating value where there was void, creating things people want.

I believe hacking is like art. There is a necessary structure and discipline, but it is ultimately a creative pursuit.

I have posted 12 articles, so hopefully there will be something of value here to you.
